Das Buch Going Beyond \u2013 Perceptions of Sustainability in Heritage Studies No. 2 wird von der Institutsdirektorin Prof. Dr. Marie-Theres Albert und vom stellvertretenden Generaldirektor f\u00fcr Kultur\u00a0Prof. Francesco Bandarin und von Ana Pereira Roders Professorin an der Universit\u00e4t Eindhoven<\/span> als 5. Publikation in der Reihe Heritage Studies herausgegeben.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Es ist ein Sammelband mit europ\u00e4ischen und au\u00dfereurop\u00e4ischen Ans\u00e4tzen zum Thema Erbe und Nachhaltigkeit. Struktur und Inhalte dieser Ver\u00f6ffentlichung wurden mit den Autoren\/innen w\u00e4hrend der 39. Sitzung des Welterbekomitees in Bonn erarbeitet. Das Buch ist konzipiert als ein wechselseitiger Austausch von internationalen Experten\/innen zum Thema Erbe und Nachhaltigkeit und er\u00f6ffnet mittels der diversen Diskutanten eine Vielf\u00e4ltigkeit von Perspektiven zur Umsetzung der UNESCO Ziele.<\/p>\n

Vorwort<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die f\u00fcnfte Publikation in der Reihe Heritage Studies wurde Anfang des Jahres 2015 konzipiert. Anlass war die 39. Sitzung des Welterbekomitees, die in Bonn\/Deutschland in diesem Jahr stattfand und die dem UNESCO Chair in Heritage Studies ein Forum f\u00fcr die Durchf\u00fchrung eines internationalen Symposiums geben sollte. Der Titel des Symposiums war zugleich seine Auftrag, n\u00e4mlich: Die Bedeutung der vier S\u00e4ulen von Nachhaltigkeit f\u00fcr die Umsetzung der UNESCO Konventionen und Programme zu erforschen. Die Mitveranstalter des Symposiums waren die Deutsche UNESCO Kommission und die Gerda Henkel Stiftung. Motiviert wurden die Veranstalter durch das Schl\u00fcsselthema des Welterbekomitees, Erbe als Motor f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung zu betrachten und f\u00fcr die neue Publikation aufzubereiten. Zugleich wollte der UNESCO Chair sein viertes Buch in der Reihe Heritage Studies mit dem Titel Perceptions of Sustainability in Heritage Studies<\/a> vorstellen.<\/p>\n

Das Symposium fand in Form von Think Tanks statt, in denen ca. 100 Personen \u00fcber die \u00f6konomische, soziale, Umwelt- und kulturelle Nachhaltigkeit diskutierten und reflektierten; Es ging darum, aktuelles Material f\u00fcr die neue Publikation zu erhalten. Mit der Vorlage dieser Ver\u00f6ffentlichung k\u00f6nnen wir sagen, dass wir unser Ziel erreicht haben. Die meisten der in dem hier pr\u00e4sentierten Buch ver\u00f6ffentlichten Beitr\u00e4ge wurden w\u00e4hrend des Symposiums in Bonn vorgestellt und diskutiert. Insofern kann man festhalten, dass mit dieser Ver\u00f6ffentlichung die aktuellsten Reflektionen der globalen Akteure des Diskurses zu nachhaltiger Entwicklung und Erbe vorgelegt werden.<\/p>\n

Ich m\u00f6chte an dieser Stelle die Gelegenheit nutzen, der Gerda Henkel Stiftung und der Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt sowohl f\u00fcr die finanzielle Unterst\u00fctzung des Symposiums als auch f\u00fcr die Erstellung des Buches zu danken. Ohne diese Unterst\u00fctzung w\u00e4re weder das eine noch das andere\u00a0 m\u00f6glich gewesen.<\/p>\n
