On 09.09.2022 we started our project „Young Climate Action for World Heritage“ with a successful online kick-off together with over 100 students, teachers and six World Heritage sites. This first meeting was about getting to know each other, introducing the project and developing a common vision. The kick-off impressively showed how lively and diverse the project is due to the many international participants and the diversity of the World Heritage sites, and made us want to get to know each other in person soon.<\/p>\n

In the coming weeks, the students will attend workshops at six World Heritage sites and work together in small, transnational groups to develop ideas and options for action. The first workshop with a German-Polish group will take place from 13-16 September 2022 at the World Heritage Site „Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin“. Here, the students will become gardeners in the World Heritage Site themselves and learn about drought and tree death, sustainable gardening and challenges in the World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n
