Polish-German Climate and Heritage Camps “Ready for Sustainability”

I Liceum Ogólnokształcące  im. Stefana Banacha Żagań (Poland), Richard-von-Schlieben-Oberschule Zittau (Germany)

Students from different parts of the project – from Żagań in Poland and from Zittau in Germany – joined forces to organise two sustainability camps in their home towns with the support of their teachers and another UNESCO Associated School from Leipzig. The workshop from the “Young Climate Action for World Heritage” project served as a reference point. Accordingly, they addressed the topics of climate change, the ecological footprint and the local cultural and natural heritage – spreading the word and inspiring others with their knowledge and motivation.
