Max-Windmüller-Gymnasium Emden (Germany)
Exploring the Wadden Sea and learning about climate change left the students with unforgettable memories. Standing in the mud, experiencing the wind, rain and sun, searching for snails students wanted to share their experiences and their knowledge about the Wadden Sea with their peers. They developed, recorded and published a podcast with two episodes. In the first episode they talk about their own experiences of the workshop on a Hallig island. They discuss what they found interesting and what they liked about the community, but also talk about the effects of climate change on the Wadden Sea and the steps that need to be taken in order to protect it. In the second episode, they interact with their peers and local politicians: they conducted short interviews about the project with participants from other countries along the Wadden Sea and a German Member of Parliament from their district.
