The film “Young Climate Action for World Heritage Site in the Wadden Sea” was produced in close cooperation with the students and aimed to present all the student projects of the participating schools from the UNESCO Associated Schools network and other schools from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The movie was produced in close cooperation with the students.

The film shows the students exploring the natural heritage site and discusses its natural beauty, but also the challenges that climate change poses to the protected area. The film combines informative and artistic elements, using sounds, impressions of the landscape and other images they recorded during the workshop.

“We shot putting our feet in the mud and searching for the smallest snail in the world... It was eye-opening! Then, removing invasive black cherry from the shore and walking into sunset … made us feel connected to each other and One with the Wadden Sea.”  Matilde, 15 years old.
