At the World Heritage Site “Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin” students learned that many trees in the historical gardens are endangered due to climate change. A group of Polish students drew on what they had learned in the workshops to create a lecture in the style of a TED Talk, which they then presented to a local audience in a cinema in their home town.
“When deciding on making a TED-Ed presentation, our main goal was to share our newfound knowledge and experience with others at our school. We believe that young people will lead future systemic change, and climate issues are among those most important. While many are already environmentally conscious, this problem will affect all of our lives as adults, which is why getting more teens’ attention is so important.” Student’s quote.
