IHS cooperates with the Association of Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS) at its fifth conference from 26 to 30 August 2020

Represented by Anca Claudia Prodan, the IHS attended, in August 2020, the fifth conference of the Association of Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS), which is considered the largest international network of scholars and researchers in the field of Heritage Studies. The conference was organised under the broad theme “Futures” and, due to the Corona pandemic, it took place virtually; nevertheless, it was attended by 1,000 participants and 700 presentations were shared. As a member of the scientific committee, Anca Claudia Prodan was involved in reviewing the presentation proposals and moderating two panels on “Digital Conservation and Ethical Management”. She herself gave a presentation entitled “Preserving Digitality: Ruminations about Digitally Based Heritage Transmission”, and she engaged intensively in discussions over the future of heritage and of Heritage Studies in a digital world.
