The series World Heritage Studies was first published in 2002 by the holder of the UNESCO Chair in Heritage Studies at that time, Prof. Dr. Marie-Theres Albert, in the framework of the interdisciplinary master’s programme in World Heritage Studies, also led by her, at the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg. It comprises the facets of the subject “heritage”, including the ups and downs of the implementation of the World Heritage Convention since its adoption in 1972.
